K2 Base Camp and Gondogoro La Trek Prices & Dates
Arrival in Islamabad (585m/1,920ft):Arrive in Pakistan’s capital. Visit Faisal Mosque, an architectural marvel, and the Pakistan Monument. Overnight stay in Islamabad.
Fly to Skardu (2,230m/7,320ft) or Drive to Chilas (1,250m/4,101ft): Weather permitting, take a scenic flight to Skardu or drive along the Karakoram Highway to Chilas. Overnight in Skardu or Chilas.
Rest Day in Skardu or Drive from Chilas to Skardu: Explore Skardu Bazaar, visit Kharpocho Fort, and prepare for the trek. If driving, continue the journey from Chilas to Skardu. Overnight in Skardu.
Drive to Askoli (2,900m/9,514ft): Begin your trek preparations in Askoli, the gateway to the Karakoram. Overnight camping.
Trek Askoli to Jhola (3,180m/10,430ft): Follow the Braldu River through a desert-like landscape to Jhola. Overnight camping.
Trek Jhola to Paiyu (3,450m/11,319ft): Cross rivers and enjoy scenic mountain views. Overnight camping at Paiyu.
Rest Day at Paiyu (3,450m/11,319ft): Acclimatize and explore the surrounding area. Enjoy views of the Paiyu Peak. Overnight camping.
Trek Paiyu to Urdukas (4,130m/13,550ft): Trek along the Baltoro Glacier, passing Trango Towers. Overnight camping with stunning glacier views.
Trek Urdukas to Goro-II (4,300m/14,108ft): Continue trekking with views of Masherbrum and Muztagh Tower. Overnight camping at Goro-II.
Trek Goro-II to Concordia (4,695m/15,420ft): Arrive at Concordia, the “Throne Room of the Gods,” with panoramic views of K2 and Broad Peak. Overnight camping.
Excursion to K2 Base Camp (5,106m/16,739ft): Trek to K2 Base Camp for unforgettable views of the world’s second-highest peak. Return to Concordia for the night.
Trek Concordia to Ali Camp (5,033m/16,512ft): Traverse the Vigne Glacier and acclimatize at Ali Camp. Overnight camping.
Cross Gondogoro La Pass (5,585m/18,323ft) to Hispung (4,900m/16,076ft): A challenging but rewarding trek through one of the highest passes in the world. Overnight camping at Hispung.
Trek Hispung to Daltsampa (4,200m/13,780ft): Descend through snowy peaks and alpine meadows. Overnight camping at Daltsampa.
Trek Daltsampa to Saicho (3,400m/11,155ft): Continue descending through forested areas and glacial streams. Overnight camping at Saicho.
Trek Saicho to Hushe (3,050m/10,007ft): Complete your trek at Hushe Village. Celebrate the accomplishment with your team. Overnight in Hushe.
Drive Hushe to Skardu (2,230m/7,320ft): Return to Skardu via a scenic drive. Overnight stay in Skardu.
Skardu to Islamabad (585m/1,920ft): Fly back to Islamabad (weather permitting) or drive via the Karakoram Highway. Overnight in Islamabad.
Free Day in Islamabad or Drive from Chilas: Relax and explore more of Islamabad. Conclude your adventure with a farewell dinner. Overnight in Islamabad.
Departure from Islamabad: Transfer to Islamabad International Airport for your flight. Farewell and safe travels!
